Where will my Boost Ads appear? 


Your Boost Ads will appear on Shopee's search results page, homepage and product detail pages of products similar or complementary to yours*.


Who should use Boost Ads? 


You should use Boost Ads if you need an easy-to-use and hassle-free advertising solution to increase your products' exposure and sales. 


You could be:

  1. A new user who is not familiar with how to set up and optimise your ads to maximise sales or drive good Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS)
  2. A busy seller who does not have the time to manage your ads or learn how to do so
  3. A user who is using or intends to use Product Search or Discovery Ads but unsure how to allocate budget across these two ad types for your products*


How will I be charged?


You will only be charged when shoppers click on your ads. The cost is deducted from your Ads Credit. 


To protect sellers, the Shopee system auto-detects invalid clicks, such as suspicious click patterns from users or clicking tools that intend to increase your advertising cost without genuine interest in your ad. You will not be charged for such clicks.



Can I control the duration and budget for Boost Ads?


Yes, you can set the daily or total budget for your Boost Ads campaign and how long it runs for. For more information, click here



What determines my ad's exposure?


Shopee automatically optimises your ad to maximise its exposure to shoppers who are the most likely to purchase your products. 

  1. When Boost Ads's algorithm predicts that a shopper is more likely to purchase your advertised product, it sets a higher bid price on your ad to increase your exposure and sales.
  2. Boost Ads also lowers your ad’s bid price if a shopper is less likely to purchase your advertised product. 
  3. Boost Ads will automatically adjust your bid prices with the goal to maximise your sales.






*Notes: 

  1. Boost Ads is still in beta mode, and is available to only selected sellers.
  2. With Boost Ads, Shopee automatically sets up Product Search Ads and Discovery Ads for your products and optimises them, so you can sit back and relax.
  3. Product Search Ads display on Shopee's search results page. 
  4. Discovery Ads display on Shopee's homepage and product detail pages of products similar or complementary to your advertised products.
  5. If you're an advanced user who prefers to have more control of your ad settings, you can set up Product Search and Discovery Ads for your products instead.
