What is 1:1 free credit?


1:1 Free Credit is a type of ads credit that can only be consumed when accompanied by the same amount of paid credit. Both free and paid credits are deducted simultaneously in a locked 1:1 ratio and in real time."


How will it be deducted among different types of credit?


Shopee has 3 types of ads credit: general free credits, 1:1 free credits and paid credits. Shopee system will deduct ads credit in the following sequence: 

  1. Ads Credit near Expiry Date
  2. Ads Credit with Early Start Date
  3. Ads Credit Type Comparison

1st  General Ads Credit

2nd 1:1 Free Ads Credit

3rd Paid Ads Credit

[Notice] Unfinished credits lock subsequent ones. If a 1:1 Free Credit is paused due to insufficient Paid Balance, all subsequent credits (including General Free credit) are locked until cash is topped up.


How can I check my free credit usage history?

You can find your free credit usage history from Shopee Ads > My Account. Consumption Type refers to the detailed credit type consumed.


Frequent Q&A

Question1: Can I choose which credit to consume first in my ads account?

Answer: No, platform will deduct the credit automatically based on credit priority.


Question2: I find that there are still free credits left in my account, but why could I not use it?

Answer: Since unfinished credit packages lock subsequent ones, you need to consume all credits in one package to be able to use the next.


Question3: There is still enough balance in my account, why can't I use it?

Answer: You can check your account credit balance to see if there is enough paid credit. If a 1:1 Free Credit is paused due to insufficient Paid Balance, all subsequent grants (including General Free Credit) are locked until cash is topped up.


Question4: Can I use the 1:1 free credit in Shopee APP?

Answer: No. For now, 1:1 free credit is only supported on the PC platform. General credits and paid credits are usable across both PC and APP.
