Using Search Ads to Advertise Your Shop

Enhance your shop visibility and product sales using Shop Search Ads. Shop Search Ads feature your shop name, shop voucher, and products most relevant to shoppers*, with the option to customise your ad's picture and tagline.


  1. Shop Search Ads will show the 3 products most relevant to shoppers’ search terms and the most relevant vouchers that the shopper is eligible for.
  2. If your shop doesn't have an applicable voucher, Shop Search Ads will display the 4 most relevant products.

How do I get started?

  1. Set your ad budget and duration 
  2. Your ads will run until your
  3. Budget runs out or 
  4. Ads Credit runs out or
  5. Ad duration comes to an end

  6. Add a picture and craft your tagline
  7. Set a relevant picture and tagline to drive shoppers to click your ad
  8. Select your ad landing page 
  9. Direct shoppers to your shop or product collection page
  10. Choose keywords relevant to the products on your landing page
  11. You can use Shopee recommended keywords or choose your own.
  12. Set a bid price for each keyword 
  13. The bid price is the highest amount you are willing to pay for each click on the ad. 

How will I be charged?

You will only be charged when shoppers click on your ads. The cost will be deducted from your Ads Credit.

To protect sellers, Shopee system auto-detects invalid clicks, such as repeated clicks from the same shopper or automated clicks. You will not be charged for such clicks.

What determines my ad's exposure?

As multiple sellers advertise their shops with Search Ads, your ad competes with other ads to be displayed at the top of search results page. 

Your ad exposure is determined by 2 factors*:

  1. Cost-per-click bid price refers to the highest price you are willing to pay when a shopper clicks on your ad.
  2. The higher your bid price, the more likely your ad will be displayed
  3. The actual price charged is often less than your bid price. The Shopee ad auction system calculates the minimum amount required to show your ad
  4. Shop relevance is determined by the quality of your shop and how relevant your shop is to the chosen keyword. The higher your shop relevance, the more likely your ad will be displayed.

*Note: If your shop does not have enough products relevant to the keyword, your shop ad will not be shown to shoppers.

Who can use Search Ads to advertise their shops?

Shop Search Ads is currently open to sellers selected by Shopee with good track record in sales and order ratings. Your eligibility is automatically updated every day.
