Detailed Budget and Duration Handling Logic
1.For item_ids with no associated campaigns (Auto Bidding (Standard) ONLY), the new GMV Max Auto Bidding campaign will inherit the old Auto Bidding (Standard) campaign duration and budget settings.
2.For item_ids with associated campaigns (Auto Bidding (Standard) + Other campaigns), all associated campaigns to the same item_id will be merged into a new GMV Max Auto Bidding campaign following the budget and duration merge logics below.
1.Similar to GMV Max Custom ROAS, Placement selection for GMV Max Auto Bidding campaigns will be ALL.
This allows Shopee to monitor and dynamically adjust bid prices across different environments to ensure that the overall spending is kept within the budget constraint and is balanced against the total Product GMV.
With Auto Bidding (Standard), sellers can choose their ad placement settings
With the new GMV Max Auto Bidding, sellers can no longer choose their placement settings
2.With GMV Max Auto Bidding, Sellers will only be able to select a single item for each campaign.
With Auto Bidding (Standard), sellers can manually select multiple products for each ad
With GMV Max Auto Bidding, sellers can only select 1 product for each ad
3.With GMV Max Auto Bidding, Advertisers have visibility into the system-estimated target ROAS and weekly order numbers, depending on their budget and item choice. Currently, Product Ads - Auto Bidding campaigns do not display any system estimates.
Current Auto Bidding (Standard) has limited information on system-estimates
GMV Max Auto Bidding will provide advertisers with upfront information on system-estimates
On the date of upgrading, you will receive a pop-up prompt informing you on your:
1.Eligible Auto Bidding ads that have been auto-upgraded to the new GMV Max Auto Bidding.
2.Remaining Auto Bidding ads that were not auto-upgraded and will require your review to proceed with the upgrade.
After being whitelisted onto GMV Max Auto Bidding, a pop-up prompt will notify you of the status of your upgraded Auto-bidding ads into GMV Max Auto Bidding ads and the remaining ads that require your review to upgrade into GMV Max ads.
You will be able to review the full list of Auto Bidding Ads that were not automatically upgraded before manually upgrading them onto GMV Max Auto Bidding.
During the auto-upgrade, you are strongly advised not to operate your pre-existing Auto Bidding campaigns to prevent it from affecting the upgrading process.
Prompts available on PC and APP to notify you when upgrade is in progress
Once your Auto-bidding ads have completed the upgrade, you will receive a banner update in your Shopee Ads homepage
Successfully auto-upgraded Auto Bidding ads will experience the following updates:
1.Combine budget from your pre-existing Auto bidding ads for the same item into a single GMV Max Auto Bidding campaign.
2.Auto bidding ads that were successfully auto-upgraded will be stopped.
You will be notified that you can no longer edit your Auto Bidding campaign settings (budget / schedule / bid) and be prompted to upgrade any remaining Auto Bidding campaigns that were not automatically upgraded.
From 26 Nov, you can upgrade your campaigns to GMV Max Auto Bidding within a click on your App!
The Auto Bidding campaigns will stop once it reaches the campaign end date OR when the budget is exhausted, whichever comes first.
We highly recommend upgrading your Auto Bidding ads to GMV Max Auto Bidding to avoid getting your ads impacted.
You will be notified any remaining active and scheduled Auto Bidding campaigns will be stopped automatically on 31 December 2024 and cannot be restarted, with continuous prompts to upgrade their remaining Auto Bidding campaigns.
If you still have not upgraded any active/schedule Auto Bidding campaigns by Sunset Day:
1.All Auto-bidding ads will automatically be stopped and cannot be restarted. You may still review campaign performance within Shopee ads, but will not be able to restart the campaigns.
2.If an item has multiple active campaigns (Auto Bidding (Search) + Manual), the Auto Bidding campaign(s) will stop and the Manual (Non Auto-bidding) will remain active.
